Kent County Council

Director of Adults and Integrated Commissioning

Welcome

I am delighted you have taken the time to explore this exciting new role as part of the Leadership Team in Adult Social Care and Health. The Director of Adults and Integrated Commissioning will be responsible for leading a new way of working across the County Council, supporting the greater expectation locally and nationally for integrated working.

Kent County Council is working as part of the largest ICB in the Country and we must work collaboratively to ensure effective relationships across our systems translate into the development of commissioning approaches that are inclusive, coproduced and enable the people we serve to live well.

In taking on this role you will have an absolute commitment to leading and managing inclusively. You will stand against racism and discrimination and ensure that the people you lead and manage do the same. There is a requirement to understand the needs of individuals and ensure that those undertaking commissioning activities have built their approaches based on the lived experience of people who draw on care and support. This means engaging our people too, so collaboration will be key.

We are excited about this role and hope you will join us at a critical time as we face the financial challenges of the cost-of-living crisis whilst delivering our ambitious programme of strategic priorities. I urge you to explore more about Framing Kent’s Future and Kent Adult Social Care Strategy 2022 – 2027

I look forward to meeting you soon and thank you for your interest our work.
